This month saw the first “Healthy Recipe Club” meeting. Thank you Paula for hosting the first meeting. What is this club I hear you ask??? It’s really quite simple, every 2
months we gather somewhere- next meeting is at my new office- and we each bring
a healthy recipe and a sample of the food so we can share and discuss it. It’s a great way to introduce new foods and recipes into our family meals. I will endeavour to put
these recipes up on my webpage in the next few weeks.
We had a great mix of both sweet and savoury foods to try and the conversation and company equally as good J Thank you to the wonderful group of ladies who attended.
This month we will look at the calorie cost of some of our most favourite Easter Egg treats and Eggactly (hahaha) what you will need to do to burn them off.
We will also look at a super food that you should include in your diet and a tasty recipe that’s ready to eat in 20 minutes (Now we all love that!!)
We have our interesting facts, did you know and something to make you laugh. I
have also included a really good poem that reminds us about the importance of
Turn on the kettle, pour a green tea, put your feet up and relax for 5 minutes…You deserve it!
In Health & Happiness
To “let go” does not mean to stop caring, it
means I can’t do it for someone else.
To “let go” is not to cut myself off, it’s the realization I can’t control another.
To ‘let go” means to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.
To “let go” is not to enable, but to allow learning from consequences.
To “let go” is not to try to change or blame another, it’s to make the most of myself.
To “let go” is not to care, but to care about.
To “let go” is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.
To “let go” is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes but to allow others to affect their destinies.
To “let go” is not to be protective, it’s to permit another to face reality.
To “let go” is not to deny, but to accept.
To “let go” is not to nag, scold, or argue, but instead to search out my shortcomings and correct them.
To “let go” is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes, and cherish myself in it.
To “let go” is not to criticize and regulate anybody, but to try and become what I dream I can be.
To “let go” is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future.
To “let go” is to fear less, and love more.
